41st International “Città di Castelfidardo” Accordion Prize for Soloists and Groups
Castelfidardo is the capital of classical and popular music thanks to its accordion. The PIF was born as a springboard for young people and it is confirming its role of promotion for the accordion as an instrument for all generations and all musical genres. Following this philosophy, we are introducing new categories such as the World Music and a jury of excellent quality, which may also have a role of talent scout.
Castelfidardo any time city of music: the PIF2016 – International Accordion Prize (PROGRAMME) starting September 21th from SoundArtCorners. They are artistic islands for free performs by singers, actors, painters and performers. “During the PIF2016 the corners have an original and evocative sound baptism”, explains the spokesman of the Arts of Castelfidardo council Ruben Cittadini,“was inspired by the tradition of London busker points where selected street performers entertain the audience.” The SoundArtCorners are created to “stimulate creativity and spontaneous expression of single and groups”, reserving outdoor public spaces identified by a carpet near a bench. This is an experimental initiative that will help to increase the appeal of some charming places in Castelfidardo. The seven public stations will be usable any time in the year round allowing you to immerse yourself in musical atmosphere beyond the main events.
The acoustic performance will be in compliance with a regulation that identifies the time slots, and calls to the registration page on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/soundartcornerscastelfidardo/ or contact the tourist office Pro Loco.
The singers and musicians have to be in compliance with the SIAE rules for buskers. During the 41st PIF (21-25 September) the artists who will use the SIAE contract was signed by the organizer.
